We are proud to announce the completion of Glen Affric Fishing Bothy. Built in one of the most isolated parts of the Scottish Highlands, this small property required a disproportionately long planning phase.
Due to the lack of road access and boggy conditions the majority of the materials had to be taken in by helicopter and our dedicated build team often had to access the site by boat. Frequent weather changes in the mountainous area were also a constant and unpredictable factor that made this little building a larger challenge than one would think, given it’s small, eco-conscious foot print.
A huge congratulations to John Macleod of Macleod Joinery, Skye for his performance at this year’s Snowman Rally! Compass was proud to sponsor John at the at the event which took place last weekend.
John finished in 41st place overall and was 1st in his class. An awesome result we look forward to seeing maintained over the racing season!
This July, Compass played host to the second annual Compass Building & Construction Karting Championship. Competition was fierce and a great day out was had by all! Thanks to Harald for capturing the essence of the day on camera.
Certainly, we can all agree it’s about taking part, but… with out further ado, a big congratulations to the top three racers this year!
The first annual Texas Scramble Golf Challenge was held by Compass this year at the Muir Of Ord Golf Club. Naturally the competition was fierce and such was the success of the event we’ll definitely be running one next year.
This year’s winning team, captained by Robin Kernaghan (disputed by Martin Fitzgerald) ably supported by Donald Mackenzie, Martin Fitzgerald and Mike Macdonald sailed into record books with a net score of 49 – the one to beat in 2014!
